FAQs

Where is Terracasa located?

The house is located in the Yucca Mesa area of Yucca Valley off of Old Woman Springs Road/Highway 247. It’s a great location; 10 minutes to downtown Joshua Tree, 15 minutes to Pioneertown, and 10 minutes to old town Yucca Valley.

What is there to do in the area?

Visit the national park, grab a bite to eat in Pioneertown, do some shopping in Yucca Valley and Joshua Tree, reserve a spot for a sound bath at the Integratron, and so much more. See our Field Guide for even more fun ways to spend your stay at Terracasa.

How close is Terracasa to Joshua Tree National Park?

15 minutes from the entrance to the National Park.

What should we bring with us?

Always pack a hat, layered clothing for varying temperatures, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a bathing suit. Once you get to the house, you may find yourself not wanting to leave very often so we recommend bringing snacks, food to cook with, and a great bottle of wine (or two!) Check out the Amenities section for a complete list of what you need to bring and what you can leave at home.

Is Terracasa pet-friendly?

We do allow one dog and have some house rules for our furry friends.

Are we allowed to have friends over or small gatherings?

You are not permitted to have any guests on the property beyond those included in your rental agreement without prior permission. That includes day guests and overnight guests.

Is Terracasa suitable for children?

Yes! While the property is not necessarily geared towards children, it is ok. (my kids love it). The desert is full of critters and surprises, so we recommended keeping children close. The house is decorated with high end decor, so we ask parents to move breakables out of children’s way and to respect the house.

Can my brand host a photoshoot at Terracasa?
